Cricket flour cookies....

They taste just like regular flour cookies, but cost triple. Ha!

I recently read a blog post where Carol shared about some cricket guacamole she had in Mexico and then we found some cricket flour cookies at our local store.  Seems that cricket flour is a nice way to add some protein content to food.....

If you want to know more about cricket flour - go HERE to earths friends site - where they tell us that "Cricket flour is made from crickets that are raised for human consumption. It is a good source of nutrition and protein and contains protein, calcium, B12, iron and other nutritional elements"

oh and some hemp heart bars are made by these guys:
If you have not tried hemp hearts - you might want to consider adding them to your diet - they are jam packed with nutrition: Hemp hearts, also known as “shelled hemp seeds, are a rich source of nutrition and hemp hearts typically have 33 percent protein, 9 percent omega-3 essential fatty acids, and are an excellent source of iron, vitamin E, and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), a special Omega-6 fatty acid."
